With a focus on innovation and excellence, we are seeking a Warehouse Manager to join our team in Peterlee. This is an exciting opportunity to lead and optimize our warehouse operations in a fast-paced environment.

As the Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of warehouse operations, with a keen focus on driving continuous improvement initiatives and optimizing efficiency. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of implementing best practices and using WMS systems.

Dayshift only

Mon – Fri 8:30am – 5pm

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage the day-to-day operations of the warehouse, including receiving, storage, and distribution of goods.
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve warehouse efficiency, productivity, and accuracy.
  • Utilize WMS systems to streamline processes, optimize inventory management, and enhance order fulfillment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment of warehouse operations with overall business objectives.
  • Implement and enforce safety protocols and standards to create a safe working environment for warehouse staff.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and development opportunities to warehouse team members.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and implement corrective actions as needed to achieve operational targets.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives, including process optimization, cost reduction, and quality enhancement.
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements and company policies, including inventory control and record-keeping.

The Person

  • Proven experience in warehouse management within a related industry, with a strong focus on continuous improvement.
  • In-depth knowledge of warehouse operations and best practices, including inventory management and distribution processes.
  • Experience with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) and proficiency in related software applications.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team.
  • Excellent problem-solving abilities and decision-making skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and best practices.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
