Central Employment are looking to recruit a motivated Head of SEO, joining an award-winning UK Retail Automotive brand.  

This newly created role gives the right individual an exciting opportunity to make their mark, influence and contribute directly to the success of the team and business. The focus will be to use current performance, insight and ‘end-to-end’ thinking to drive improvements, engagement and retention by improving our SEO. The Head of SEO will be responsible for the SEO strategy formulation.

Main Duties:

  • Lead the thinking and development of SEO strategy across the group
  • Responsible for the SEO team which includes a SEO manager and SEO Executive Mentoring and developing the SEO department and carrying out 1-2-1’s and appraisals Working with our SEO agency partners to deliver sector leading performance
  • Setting quarterly and yearly SEO performance targets and ensuring campaigns are ran within budget
  • Ensure the correct data collection mechanisms are set up to generate reports and insight to inform strategy and service development
  • Using data and insights to interpret trends and gain insight and contribute to step-changing business decisions
  • Measure performance and be measured against KPIs
  • Conduct research on the business products and revenue streams in order to create audience profiles that turn into SEO strategies
  • Take charge of the conducting of audits
  • Use relevant tools to identify trends, issues and opportunities
  • Work with the marketing team to identify opportunities
  • Work closely with the performance marketing team to identify acquisition opportunities You will work closely with the data team to understand and gain insight from Customer channel attribution and where the pain points are
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with stakeholders across the wider business. (product, development, creative, CRO, field marketing, dealerships)
  • Develop a basic and practical understanding of FCA guidance on treating customers fairly and not causing detriment.
  • Share knowledge, experiences and best practice within the team.
  • Stay abreast of the latest thinking, trends, tools and technology.

Skills and experience

  • A Bachelor’s degree in a marketing, analytics, or business-related field
  • 5+ years in the designing and delivery of SEO plans and strategies, preferably performing the function of Head of SEO or similar
  • An ability to interpret data and generate meaningful insight to create solutions and actions
  • Proven project management skills
  • Excellent presentation skills, with the ability to communicate complex messages visually and creatively?

A strong understanding and demonstrable experience in one or more of the following areas:

Customer Acquisition

  • Data analysis across a variety of channels including web, paid, social and SEO/SEM.
  • Analytics tools such as Hotjar, SessionCam, Google Analytics,
