Central Employment are working in partnership with expanding PR Account Manager, to join a scaling North East agency, specialist in PR, Comms, Content and Social Media. 

You will play a key role in delivering impactful PR, communication campaigns for a range of ambitious clients, who operate on a domestic and international basis.  

PR Account Manager:

You will be responsible for delivering high-quality PR & communications activity across multiple B2B client accounts. You will help bring strategies to life through creative ideas, strong media relations and compelling content.

Working closely with the Client Service Director, you will manage day-to-day client activity, identify opportunities for coverage and create engaging content across a range of channels.

Responsibilities of the PR Account Manager: 

  • Managing day-to-day activity across a range of client accounts
  • Building strong relationships with journalists, influencers and industry contacts
  • Developing creative PR ideas and communications opportunities
  • Writing high-quality content including press releases, blogs, social media content, newsletters and web copy
  • Delivering proactive media outreach to secure coverage across relevant publications and platforms
  • Supporting the delivery of communications strategies and PR plans
  • Measuring and reporting on the impact of communications activity
  • Contributing to new business proposals and pitches
  • Supporting the marketing of the agency with the wider team

Essential experience: 

  • Circa 2+ years experience PR, communications or content marketing, ideally within an agency environment 
  • Operated at Account Manager level OR Senior Account Executive level, seeking your next challenge 
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong media relations skills and confidence pitching to journalists
  • A creative thinker who can spot opportunities and generate ideas
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work
  • Confidence presenting ideas and communicating with clients
  • Curiosity about trends in media, communications and social platforms
