Central Employment are working with an established and expanding UK manufacturer of specialist and bespoke consumer products, as they look to appoint a Business Development Manager, to support there on-going UK customer growth. 

Full-time onsite, Teesside + some UK travel for events and customer meetings 
Circa £30,000 + bonus 

We’re seeking a driven and commercially minded Business Development Manager to expand our presence in the UK dental‑care market. The ideal candidate brings 2–3 years of experience in FMCG sales or business development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities across UK retail, wholesale

  • Manage and grow existing customer accounts through strategic planning and relationship building.

  • Develop and execute sales strategies to increase market share for there product portfolio.

  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify trends, pricing movements, and category opportunities.

  • Prepare and deliver product presentations and commercial proposals to buyers and key decision‑makers.

  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular reporting, forecasting, and insights to management.

  • Attend trade shows and customer meetings to represent the brand and build industry relationships.

Required Skills & Experience

  • 2–3 years of experience in FMCG sales or business development, specifically consumer products

  • Strong understanding of UK retail and distribution channels

  • Proven track record of hitting sales targets and driving revenue growth.

  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret sales data and market insights.

  • Self‑motivated and proactive approach with strong organisational skills.

  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel for customer visits and events
