Central Employment are working an established and forward thinking PR Consultancy, as they look to recruit a Senior PR & Content Account Manager, to join there client services team in Newcastle.

Senior PR & Content Account Manager profile:-

● The Senior PR & Content Manager plays a key role in shaping and delivering high-quality client communications, ensuring all activity is delivered on time, within budget and to an exceptional standard.

● They help shape and bring client strategy to life and generally lead accounts day-to-day, acting as a trusted partner to clients.

● With a solid commercial and strategic mindset, they contribute to the growth of client accounts and the wider agency, while maintaining a future-focused, curious and proactive approach.

● They are confident in interpreting briefs, developing
communications plans and scopes of work, and presenting work and recommendations to clients.

● They build strong, long-lasting relationships with clients, media and stakeholders, and are committed to delivering measurable impact through communications.

Senior PR & Content Account Manager:-

● They contribute to new business activity and support the agency’s continued growth through ideas, proposals and collaboration.

● Confidently make day-to-day decisions on account delivery, escalating where appropriate.

● Act as day-to-day client contact on selected accounts, providing clear communication, managing expectations, and proactive support.

● Drive forward action plans, interpret client requests and present, work, recommendations and results to clients.

● Track and monitor delivery of client work, ensuring accurate and timely reporting through status updates, coverage reports, PR plans and client briefings.

● Agree and manage budgets including fees and third-party costs, raising any risks or issues to senior team members.

● Respond to journalist and influencer requests and proactively generate opportunities through outreach.

● Build and maintain a strong network of media, industry contacts and influencers.

● Deliver a wide range of content including press releases, social media content, blogs, web content, e-newsletters, reports and campaign assets.

● Ensure all work is peer-reviewed and meets agency quality standards.

● Measure and evaluate communications performance using agency systems.

● Contribute to and support the development of client strategies and communications plans.

● Maintain up-to-date PR plans, WIPs and project documentation.

● Organise and lead meetings where appropriate, ensuring clear agendas, actions and follow-ups.

● Anticipate client needs and ensure a consistent pipeline of activity and content.

● Identify opportunities to grow client accounts through new ideas and proactive recommendations.

● Contribute to new business proposals, pitches and presentations.

● Support onboarding of new clients, ensuring a smooth and
professional experience.

● Demonstrate a commercial mindset, identifying opportunities to grow accounts and agency revenue.

● Mentor and support junior team members, sharing knowledge and best practice.

● Work collaboratively across the team to deliver high-quality outcomes.

● Communicate workload effectively, raising any challenges or support needs in a timely manner.

● Contribute to agency marketing and wider business initiatives.

● Work with your line manager to identify development goals and review progress regularly.

● Stay informed on industry trends across media, communications, content and digital platforms.

● Proactively seek opportunities for learning and development.

● Deliver high-quality communications activity aligned to client strategy.

● Build strong client relationships and maintain high levels of client satisfaction.

● Secure impactful media coverage and deliver effective content.

Experience required:- 

  • Circa 3-5 years experience PR, communications or content marketing, ideally within an agency environment
  • Has mentored junior PR talent, Account Executive and Account Manager level
  • Excellent writing skills and attention to detail
  • Strong media relations skills and confidence pitching to journalists
  • A creative thinker who can spot opportunities and generate ideas
  • Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple deadlines
  • A proactive attitude and willingness to take ownership of your work
  • Confidence presenting ideas and communicating with clients
  • Curiosity about trends in media, communications and social platforms
