Position Overview:

Our Client is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of their financial processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for Accounts Payable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with various departments to streamline financial workflows and optimize processes.
  • Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
  • Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
  • Manage vendor relationships, including processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating payments.
  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain cash flow.
  • Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
  • Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
  • Provide training and support to staff on financial systems and processes.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives as needed.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial operations or accounting roles.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive process improvements.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment is a plus.
