Position Overview:
Our Client is seeking an Accounts Payable Assistant to join their team. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the efficiency and accuracy of their financial processes. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with a passion for Accounts Payable.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with various departments to streamline financial workflows and optimize processes.
- Conduct regular audits of financial data to ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures.
- Assist in the preparation and analysis of financial reports, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Manage vendor relationships, including processing invoices, resolving discrepancies, and coordinating payments.
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding payments to maintain cash flow.
- Support month-end and year-end closing processes, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities to support strategic decision-making.
- Provide training and support to staff on financial systems and processes.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes to ensure compliance and best practices.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams on special projects and initiatives as needed.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in financial operations or accounting roles.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data and identify trends.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members at all levels.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
- Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative and drive process improvements.
