Warehouse Operatives

We are currently looking for Warehouse Operatives to assist the with the movement of goods, products and materials and to prepare goods for despatch.

Location: Blyth

Shifts:

08:00 – 16:35 Mon-Thurs & 08:00 – 13:10 Fri (37.5 hours per week)

Pay rate:

£12.34 per hour basic rate, overtime available.

About the role:

• The main purpose of this role is to assist the Warehouse Department with the movement of goods, products and materials and to prepare goods for despatch.
• General warehousing duties
• Stock processing
• Movement of stock around the site using counterbalance forklift
• Order picking & order packing
• General warehousing duties including stock put away and movements
• Vehicle loading/unloading

Role Requirements:

• Desirable – Educated to NVQ Level II in Warehousing and Distribution/related qualification or equivalent experience.
• Experience with a computer main frame system would allow a candidate to excel. The company operates with SAP.
• Previous experience in a similar background.
• Previous experience of the operation of RF scanners is desirable.

Other Skills:

• Knowledge of Kanban and stock rotation procedures is desirable.
• Candidates should also be good team players with effective problem-solving skills.
• Desirable is a current reach and counterbalance forklift truck licenses.
• Proactive approach.
• High level of accuracy with an eye for detail.
