Joiners needed for a contract with a well-established client, working on a mix of domestic, commercial, and heritage projects across the Middlesbrough area. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced CIS Joiners to secure consistent work with a reputable contractor, delivering high-quality joinery and window fitting. You’ll be joining an established team on site, working alongside other skilled trades.

About the Role:
You will carry out a range of joinery tasks with a primary focus on window fitting across domestic, commercial, and heritage properties. Working as part of a team, you’ll ensure all works are completed to a high standard, safely and in line with site requirements. Your contribution will help deliver key projects on time and maintain the client’s strong reputation for quality workmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install and fit windows in domestic, commercial, and heritage properties to specified standards.
  • Carry out all aspects of first and second fix joinery as required on site.
  • Work effectively as part of a team with other joiners and trades to meet project deadlines.
  • Read and interpret drawings and specifications to complete tasks accurately.
  • Ensure all work areas are kept tidy and materials are handled and stored safely.
  • Adhere to site health and safety procedures and use appropriate PPE at all times.
  • Liaise with site supervisors to report progress, issues, and any required adjustments to works.

Key Requirements:

  • Proven experience as a Joiner, including window fitting on domestic and commercial projects.
  • Strong practical joinery skills with the ability to work to precise measurements and finishes.
  • Experience working on live sites and following site rules and safety protocols.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and coordinate tasks with other joiners and trades.
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to maintain consistent quality under time pressures.

Desirable Skills:

  • Previous experience on heritage or listed building projects.
  • Ability to adapt joinery techniques to suit older or non-standard structures.
  • Familiarity with a range of joinery tools and equipment beyond core requirements.

Qualifications:

  • Valid CSCS Gold or Blue Card (essential).
  • Recognised joinery or carpentry qualification (e.g. NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent) preferred.
  • Evidence of relevant health and safety training or site safety awareness is advantageous.
