Location: Hartlepool
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour during training, increasing upon successful completion of training and competency assessment.

About the Role

Our client, a leading door manufacturer based in Hartlepool, is seeking a Trainee Paint Sprayer to join their production team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a skilled career within manufacturing. Full training will be provided to the successful candidate.

The ideal candidate will be someone who takes pride in producing a high-quality finish, has excellent attention to detail, and adopts a careful, methodical approach to their work. This role would suit an individual who understands the importance of quality and consistency and is committed to getting the job done right rather than rushing the process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assisting with the preparation of doors and components prior to painting.
  • Learning to operate paint spraying equipment safely and effectively.
  • Applying paints, stains, lacquers, and finishes to doors and related products.
  • Ensuring all products meet company quality standards and customer specifications.
  • Inspecting finished products and carrying out quality checks.
  • Preparing surfaces through sanding, cleaning, masking, and other pre-spray processes.
  • Maintaining paint spraying equipment and work areas in a clean and safe condition.
  • Following all health and safety procedures and company policies.
  • Working closely with colleagues to meet production schedules and deadlines.
  • Supporting other production departments when required.

  • Have a positive attitude and strong work ethic.
  • Previous manufacturing, production, painting, decorating, or finishing experience would be beneficial but is not essential as full training will be provided.

Working Hours & Breaks

  • Monday to Thursday
  • 6:00am - 4:30pm
  • 30-minute unpaid lunch break
  • Two paid 10-minute breaks per shift
  • Enjoy a three-day weekend every week
