We're looking for a Midweight Ecommerce Copywriter to join a growing interiors retailer, helping to bring our products, brand, and customer experience to life through engaging, commercially-focused content. This is an exciting opportunity for a creative storyteller who understands the balance between brand-building content and conversion-driven copy.
Working closely with the Social Media & Influencer Executive and eCRM Manager, you'll play a key role in shaping the customer journey across our website, email marketing, product catalogue, and social channels.
The Role
As our Midweight Ecommerce Copywriter, you'll be responsible for planning, creating, and optimising content that enhances the customer experience at every touchpoint. From crafting inspiring product descriptions and category pages to developing email campaigns and social content, you'll ensure all communications reflect our brand voice and drive engagement.
Key Responsibilities
  • Write compelling, SEO-friendly product descriptions across multiple home and interiors categories.
  • Create engaging category, landing page and editorial content that supports organic search performance and ecommerce conversion goals.
  • Curate and maintain accurate product listings, ensuring consistency of tone, style and product information across the website.
  • Collaborate with the eCRM Manager to develop email marketing campaigns, newsletters, promotional communications and customer lifecycle content.
  • Partner with the Social Media Executive to create engaging organic social content, captions and campaign messaging.
  • Support seasonal campaigns, product launches and promotional activity with customer-focused copy.
  • Help define and maintain the brand tone of voice across all digital channels.
  • Optimise existing content using customer insights, performance data and SEO best practices.
  • Work closely with merchandising, marketing and ecommerce teams to ensure content aligns with trading priorities and commercial objectives.
  • Proofread and edit content to ensure exceptional quality and consistency.
About You
  • 2-4 years' experience in ecommerce copywriting, digital content creation or content marketing.
  • Experience writing for a retail, interiors, homewares, lifestyle or consumer brand.
  • Exceptional writing, editing and proofreading skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to balance creativity with commercial objectives and customer conversion goals.
  • Understanding of SEO principles and how content supports organic search visibility.
  • Experience writing product descriptions, website content, email campaigns and social media copy.
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
  • Comfortable working collaboratively with marketing, ecommerce and creative teams.
  • Genuine interest in interiors, home design, furniture, homewares or lifestyle trends.
Desirable
  • Experience using ecommerce platforms such as Shopify, Magento or similar.
  • Knowledge of GA4, SEO tools or content management systems.
  • Experience working within a fast-paced retail or direct-to-consumer environment.
