eCommmerce Acquisition Manager (PPC/Social)

We're looking for an ambitious and commercially-minded eCommerce Acquisition Manager (PPC & Paid Social) to take ownership of paid customer acquisition across a fast-growing eCommerce business.

This is an exciting opportunity for a performance marketing specialist with 3-5 years' experience who thrives on delivering measurable growth through Paid Search, Shopping and Paid Social campaigns. You'll be responsible for managing substantial advertising budgets, optimising ROAS, identifying new growth opportunities, and delivering high-performing campaigns across multiple channels and product categories.

Working closely with eCommerce, Marketing, CRM, Content and Analytics teams, you'll play a pivotal role in driving revenue, customer acquisition and long-term profitability.

eCommerce Acquisition Manager (PPC & Paid Social) role: 

As eCommerce Acquisition Manager, you'll lead the planning, execution and optimisation of performance marketing activity across Google Ads, Google Shopping, Performance Max, Meta and other relevant paid media platforms.

You'll be responsible for developing acquisition strategies, managing agency and platform relationships where required, analysing performance data, and ensuring marketing spend delivers strong commercial returns.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own and manage all paid acquisition activity across PPC, Shopping and Paid Social channels.
  • Develop and execute customer acquisition strategies aligned to revenue and growth targets.
  • Manage and optimise Google Ads campaigns including Search, Shopping, Performance Max and Display.
  • Oversee Google Merchant Centre, product feeds and shopping optimisation.
  • Create, manage and optimise Paid Social campaigns across Meta, Instagram and emerging platforms.
  • Monitor and improve key performance metrics including ROAS, CPA, CAC, conversion rate and revenue.
  • Analyse campaign performance and deliver actionable insights to drive continuous improvement.
  • Manage significant advertising budgets, ensuring efficient spend allocation and maximum return on investment.
  • Conduct audience, competitor and market analysis to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with Creative, Content and eCommerce teams to improve landing page performance and conversion rates.
  • Test and implement new advertising technologies, audiences, formats and bidding strategies.
  • Produce regular performance reports and present recommendations to senior stakeholders.

eCommerce Acquisition Manager (PPC & Paid Social) profile: 

You'll be a data-driven performance marketer with a strong background in eCommerce acquisition and a proven ability to scale paid advertising campaigns profitably.

You enjoy working in a fast-paced environment, have exceptional analytical skills, and are passionate about using data to influence commercial decisions.

Essential Experience

  • 4+ years of hands-on experience successfully managing paid advertising campaigns.
  • Strong experience managing complex Google Ads and Google Merchant Centre accounts.
  • Proven experience running eCommerce advertising campaigns with large product catalogues.
  • Experience managing significant advertising budgets and delivering measurable ROI.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Shopping, Performance Max, Search and Paid Social advertising.
  • Proven track record of driving revenue growth, customer acquisition and profitability.
  • Experience using Google Analytics (GA4), Google Tag Manager and reporting platforms.
  • Strong understanding of attribution, tracking, audience segmentation and conversion optimisation.
  • Excellent analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Commercially focused with a strong understanding of eCommerce performance metrics.
