Accounts Assistant

Central Employment are working in partnership with a well-established and growing business to recruit an experienced Accounts Assistant to join their finance team.

This is an excellent opportunity for a finance professional with strong Sage 50 experience who enjoys working in a varied role, taking ownership of day-to-day accounting processes while supporting the wider business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Processing financial data and transactions using Sage Line 50
  • Reconciling bank, cash and credit card accounts
  • Maintaining debtor and creditor ledgers
  • Preparing, submitting and reconciling VAT returns
  • Posting journals, including accruals and prepayments
  • Completing full trial balance reconciliations at year-end

About You

  • Previous experience in a similar Accounts Assistant or Bookkeeping position
  • Strong working knowledge of Sage Line 50
  • Experience with reconciliations, VAT returns and month/year-end processes
  • Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
  • The ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Strong communication skills and a professional approach when dealing with clients
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

Package

  • Salary of up to £32,000 per annum
