Senior Marketing Manager

We're looking for an experienced Senior Digital Marketing Manager / Senior Marketing Manager to lead a high-performing team of Performance Marketing Specialists and drive exceptional results across a diverse portfolio of client accounts.

This is not a hands-on execution role. We're seeking a strategic leader who can set direction, provide commercial oversight, mentor specialists, and ensure world-class delivery across multiple campaigns and accounts.

You'll be the trusted advisor for clients, the escalation point for the team, and the person ultimately accountable for maintaining quality, consistency, and performance standards across all marketing activity.

The Role

As Senior Digital Marketing Manager, you'll take ownership of a portfolio of client relationships while leading a team of digital and performance marketing specialists.

Your focus will be on strategy, leadership, quality assurance and commercial success—not day-to-day campaign execution.

Working closely with internal teams and senior stakeholders, you'll ensure marketing programmes are aligned to client objectives, delivering measurable business impact while maintaining exceptional service standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach and develop a team of Performance Marketing Specialists across multiple client accounts.
  • Set strategic direction and ensure marketing plans align with client growth objectives.
  • Act as the primary senior contact for key client stakeholders.
  • Provide guidance, challenge and support to account teams, ensuring best practice is consistently applied.
  • Review and oversee campaign performance, identifying opportunities for improvement and growth.
  • Ensure all projects and deliverables are completed on time, within scope and to a high standard.
  • Hold accountability for quality control across all client activity.
  • Manage resource allocation, priorities and workload planning across the team.
  • Lead client review meetings, strategic planning sessions and performance discussions.
  • Support new business opportunities, client retention initiatives and account growth.
  • Drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration and accountability.
  • Monitor industry trends, platform updates and emerging digital marketing opportunities.

About You

You'll be a proven digital marketing leader with experience managing teams in fast-paced, multi-client environments.

You understand how successful performance marketing campaigns are built and optimised, but your strength lies in leadership, strategic thinking and client management rather than campaign execution.

Essential Experience

  • Circa 3/5 yrs experience in a senior digital marketing, marketing management or performance marketing leadership role.
  • Proven experience leading, mentoring and developing marketing teams.
  • Strong client-facing experience with the ability to build trusted long-term relationships.
  • Experience overseeing multiple campaigns, projects or client accounts simultaneously.
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to align marketing activity with business outcomes.
  • Excellent stakeholder management, communication and presentation skills.
  • Experience managing priorities and ensuring high-quality delivery across a busy workload.
  • Agency, consultancy or multi-account environment experience.
  • Experience managing teams across Paid Media, SEO, Content, Social Media or broader Performance Marketing disciplines.
  • Account growth, upselling and client retention experience.
  • Exposure to marketing reporting, forecasting and budget oversight.
