Field Services Supervisor

About the Role:
As Field Services Supervisor, you will oversee day-to-day field operations, coordinating teams and resources to meet service commitments and operational targets. You will ensure all work is planned, executed, and reviewed in line with company standards, customer expectations, and UK health and safety regulations. Your leadership and operational oversight will be central to maintaining service reliability, improving processes, and supporting long-term customer relationships.
Key Responsibilities:
* Lead and supervise field service teams, providing clear direction, daily coordination, and on-site support to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently.
* Plan and schedule field activities, allocating resources, tools, and equipment to meet service deadlines and optimise utilisation.
* Monitor live jobs and field performance, resolving operational issues, escalating risks where necessary, and ensuring minimal disruption to service.
* Conduct risk assessments and implement mitigation measures for all field operations, ensuring compliance with UK health and safety legislation and company policies.
* Act as primary operational contact for customers, managing expectations, handling queries, and ensuring issues are followed through to resolution.
* Oversee quality assurance checks on completed work, identifying defects or process gaps and driving corrective actions and continuous improvement.
* Track and report on key performance indicators for field operations, providing accurate data and insights to management on productivity, quality, and safety.
* Support and coach field staff, providing feedback on performance, reinforcing safe working practices, and promoting a culture of accountability and improvement.
Key Requirements:
This role requires the following minimum / desired qualifications, experience, and skills:
·      Minimum 10 years’ experience working with high value rotating equipment projects
·      NVQ level 3 / accredited apprenticeship / HNC preferable
·      Proactive, positive attitude
·      Experience working within a Field Service Team
·      Experience leading and working with a variety of FS personnel
·      Experience working with / to API 617 & API 687 standards
·      Full driving license
·      Ability to use Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, TEAMS, etc.

Desirable Skills:
* Experience in process improvement or continuous improvement initiatives within field service or operational environments.
* Exposure to quality management frameworks or standards and their application to field service delivery.
* Competence with digital scheduling, workforce management, or mobile field service applications.
* Background in a regulated industry (e.g. utilities, construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, or similar) with complex site requirements.
* Experience supporting audits or inspections related to safety, quality, or operational performance.
Qualifications:
* Relevant technical or vocational qualification in an engineering, maintenance, or operations-related discipline.
* Health and safety training or certification (e.g. IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent) strongly preferred.
* Supervisory or leadership training/certification would be an advantage.
* Full UK driving licence to enable regular site visits and field supervision.
