Supply Chain Manager

The Supply Chain Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing the end-to-end supply chain function to ensure the efficient procurement, planning, storage, and distribution of materials and products. The role focuses on maintaining product availability, optimising inventory levels, reducing costs, improving supplier performance, and ensuring customer requirements are met while supporting business growth and operational excellence.


Essential Qualifications

  • Degree or equivalent qualification in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Management, Procurement, or related discipline.
  • Professional qualification such as CIPS, CILT, APICS, or equivalent (desirable).
  • Or a minimum of 5 years in a similar role.

Experience

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Supply Chain, Procurement, Planning, or Logistics management role.
  • Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, pharmaceutical, cosmetics, or related industries.
  • Proven experience managing suppliers and contract negotiations.
  • Experience implementing supply chain improvements and cost reduction initiatives.

Knowledge & Skills

  • Strong understanding of supply chain planning and inventory management.
  • Knowledge of procurement and supplier management processes.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong commercial awareness and negotiation abilities.
  • Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing and Continuous Improvement techniques.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
