Sales Engineer
We are working with a leading engineering organisation to recruit a Sales Engineer to support the growth of their products and services across the UK, Europe, Africa, the Middle East and Asia.
This is a fantastic opportunity for a commercially minded engineer to combine technical expertise with sales, supporting projects across oil & gas, renewables, offshore and onshore environments.
The Role
You will be responsible for supporting sales and business development activities, preparing technical proposals, and working closely with internal teams and clients to deliver tailored solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare technical quotations, tenders, preliminary designs and material take-offs (MTOs)
- Develop proposals for operations, maintenance, surveys and interference studies
- Support commercial discussions including contract and pricing reviews
- Build and maintain relationships with new and existing clients
- Identify new business opportunities and support market growth initiatives
- Collaborate with internal engineering and sales teams on project opportunities
- Attend client meetings, trade shows and industry events
- Provide ongoing customer support to generate repeat and additional business
Requirements
- Degree in Engineering
- Experience in engineering sales or a relevant technical environment
- Ability (or willingness to learn) to develop Cathodic Protection design and project knowledge
- Strong commercial awareness and understanding of contracts and pricing
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
