Location: Stockton-on-Tees (TS20)

Salary: £12.71 – £14.43 per hour (trainee rate starting from £12.71)

Hours: 37 hours per week – rotating shifts (days, backs, nights)

Contract: Full-time, permanent

Central Employment are recruiting for a Production Operative (CNC Machinist) on behalf of a well-established manufacturing client based in the Stockton area. This is a great opportunity to join a busy, technically driven environment within the precision fabrication sector.

The Role

Working as part of the production team, you will support daily manufacturing operations, ensuring quality and efficiency standards are maintained.

Duties include:

Operating CNC machinery to produce components

Following part set-up sheets and engineering drawings

Completing daily TPM and pre-operation checks

Using handheld tools (e.g. grinders)

Inspecting components to ensure quality standards are met

Monitoring machines and making adjustments where required

Carrying out basic machine maintenance checks

Completing production documentation

Adhering to health & safety procedures at all times

Supporting with general production and manual handling tasks

Requirements

Previous CNC machining experience is essential

Experience within a manufacturing/engineering environment is desirable

Ability to read and work from engineering drawings (preferred)

Experience using hand tools (advantageous)

Any experience with Mazak, Haas, Hurco or Correa machinery is beneficial

NVQ Level 3 in Engineering (or similar) is desirable but not essential
