Pay: £12.71 per hour (rising to £13.40 after successful training)
Hours:
- Monday – Thursday: 7:00am – 3:30pm
- Friday: 7:00am – 12:00pm
- Overtime available

Overview
Central Employment are recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a well-established manufacturing business based in Washington (NE38). This is a long-term opportunity with a genuine chance of securing a permanent position.
This is a varied warehouse role, combining FLT operation with general warehouse duties.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
- Support goods-in by unloading deliveries
- Assist despatch with loading vehicles and preparing outbound orders
- Move and organise stock across the site
- Carry out general warehouse and material handling duties
- Work as part of a busy team to meet operational targets
Requirements
- Valid, in-date external Counterbalance FLT licence (essential)
(No in-house or expired licences accepted)
- Previous experience within a warehouse or manufacturing environment
- Good understanding of health and safety practices
- Reliable, proactive, and willing to support with manual tasks when required
