Central Employment are recruiting for an experienced Counterbalance Forklift Truck Driver to join a well‑established manufacturing site in Washington (NE38). This is a long‑term role with a genuine opportunity to secure a permanent contract.

Role overview

This is a varied warehouse role — you won’t be on the truck all day. You’ll support both goods‑in and despatch, keeping stock moving across the site.

You’ll be:

• Operating a Counterbalance FLT to move materials safely

• Assisting goods‑in with unloading deliveries

• Helping despatch with loading lorries and preparing outbound orders

• Completing general warehouse and material‑handling tasks

• Working as part of a busy, hands‑on team

What we’re looking for

• IN‑DATE external Counterbalance licence only (no in‑house, no expired licences)

• Previous warehouse or manufacturing experience

• Strong awareness of health & safety

• Reliable, proactive, and comfortable with a mix of FLT and manual duties

Shift, Pay & Overtime

• Mon–Thurs: 7:00am–3:30pm

• Friday: 7:00am–12:00pm

• £12.71 per hour, rising to £13.40 after successful training

• Overtime available

• Weekly pay
