Part Time Finance Manager

Central Employment are delighted to be assisting a Gateshead based business with the recruitment of a Part Time Accountant. Reporting into the Managing Director, this is a key role within the organisation, managing the Finance department.
The successful candidate will bring significant accountancy experience and the capability to introduce and improve systems, processes, and controls across the finance function.

Role Details

  • Part‑time position worked over Monday, Thursday and Friday

  • Some flexibility in hours is required to support holiday cover and seasonal business peaks

  • Ideally suited to someone qualified to AAT Level 4 or equivalent

Essential Knowledge & Experience

  • Sage 50 Accounts

  • Sage 50 Payroll

  • Microsoft Excel

Key Responsibilities

  • Quarterly Management Accounts

  • Year‑End Accounts

  • VAT Returns

  • Bank Reconciliations

  • Reconciling stock control data to Sage Accounts

  • Payroll processing

  • Cash management

  • Purchase ledger and sales ledger processing

  • Control account reconciliations
