Food Production & Operations Operative | Temporary to Permanent  

Location: Middlesbrough, TS2
Pay Rate: £12.71 per hour

Central Employment are recruiting on behalf of a well-established and award-winning fresh food manufacturer based in Middlesbrough. We are looking for reliable and hardworking individuals to join the team across various departments, including Food Production, Dispatch, Kitchen, Labelling, Packing, and Bread Production.

This is an excellent opportunity for candidates with experience in food manufacturing, food preparation, production, warehousing, dispatch, or bakery environments who are looking for a long-term role with the potential to become permanent.

Duties & Responsibilities

Duties may vary depending on the department but can include:

• Working on a fast-paced production line
• Preparing and handling food products
• Operating within kitchen and food preparation areas
• Labelling, packing, and quality checking products
• Dispatching and preparing orders for shipment
• Bread production and packing duties
• Weighing, portioning, cutting, and preparing ingredients
• Maintaining high standards of food hygiene and cleanliness
• Following health and safety procedures at all times
• Meeting production and dispatch targets
• Completing any other reasonable duties as required

Candidate Requirements

We would like to hear from candidates with experience in any of the following:

• Food Production Operative
• Dispatch Operative
• Warehouse Operative within food manufacturing
• Kitchen Assistant / Kitchen Operative
• Food Preparation Operative
• Labelling Operative
• Packing Operative
• Bakery or Bread Production Operative
• Production Operative within a manufacturing environment

You will also have:

• A strong work ethic and positive attitude
• Good attention to detail
• The ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Good timekeeping and reliability
• Flexibility to work across different departments when required
• A commitment to maintaining food safety and hygiene standards

Working Hours

• Any 5 days from 7 on a rotational basis
• Includes weekend working
• Start times from 7:00am
• Finish times vary depending on production requirements
• Full flexibility is required
