Established in 1979, Central Employment is recruiting experienced Counterbalance Forklift Drivers to join our client's busy warehouse operation in Bishop Auckland. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals seeking long-term, ongoing work with the potential to secure a permanent position.

The Role

Working as part of a busy warehouse team, you will be responsible for the safe movement of stock, materials, and finished goods, supporting both production and dispatch operations. The role requires strong attention to detail, a proactive approach, and a commitment to maintaining high standards of health and safety.

Key Responsibilities

• Operate a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and efficiently
• Issue materials, packaging, and consumables to production in line with company procedures
• Pick, load, and dispatch customer orders accurately
• Unload incoming deliveries and process goods received
• Coordinate the dispatch of finished goods to external logistics providers
• Support stock control activities and maintain accurate inventory records
• Record stock movements and complete regular stock checks
• Assist with stock takes and warehouse inspections
• Maintain high housekeeping standards throughout the warehouse
• Follow all health, safety, and site procedures at all times

What We're Looking For

• Valid, in-date Counterbalance Forklift Truck licence
• Previous experience within a warehouse, manufacturing, or logistics environment
• Good understanding of safe working practices
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
• Experience using warehouse systems and completing data entry tasks would be advantageous
• A reliable, positive, and team-focused approach

Pay & Hours

• £12.71 - £14.00 per hour, depending on experience
• Monday to Friday
• 8:00am - 4:30pm
• Flexibility required, as shift patterns may be introduced in the future
