Production Operative

As a Production Operative, you will play an essential role in the manufacturing and packaging of raw pet food products. Working within a fast‑paced production team, you will help ensure daily targets are achieved while maintaining strict hygiene, safety, and quality standards.

Location: Aycliffe, Durham
Pay Rate: £12.80 – £13.12 per hour
Shifts: Days and Backs (6:00am–3:00pm / 3:00pm–11:00pm)

Key Responsibilities

• Operating production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently
• Preparing, weighing, and mixing raw ingredients in line with production specifications
• Packing finished products accurately and ensuring correct labelling
• Maintaining clean and hygienic work areas at all times
• Carrying out quality checks and reporting any issues to supervisors
• Adhering to all health and safety policies and procedures
• Working closely with team members and supervisors to meet daily production targets

What We’re Looking For

• Previous experience in production or warehouse environments (advantageous but not essential)
• Comfortable working in a chilled environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Physically fit and capable of manual work
• Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player
• Willingness to work flexible shifts (days and backs)
