Production Operative
Location: Ferryhill, Durham
Pay Rate: £12.80 - £13.63 per hour
Shifts Available: Days & Backs (6:00am-3:00pm / 3:00pm-11:00pm)
Central Employment is recruiting Production Operatives to join a leading manufacturer of premium raw pet food products in Ferryhill. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with a growing business that is committed to quality, safety, and employee development.
Working as part of a fast-paced production team, you will play a key role in the manufacturing and packaging of raw pet food products while helping to maintain the highest standards of hygiene, quality, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities
- Operate production machinery and equipment safely and efficiently.
- Prepare, weigh, and mix raw ingredients in line with production specifications.
- Pack finished products and ensure correct labelling and quality standards are met.
- Maintain clean and hygienic work areas at all times.
- Carry out quality checks and report any issues to supervisors.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures and company policies.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily production targets.
What We're Looking For
- Previous experience within a production, manufacturing, warehouse, or food production environment is preferred but not essential.
- Ability to work in a chilled environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Physically fit and capable of carrying out manual duties.
- Reliable, punctual, and a strong team player.
- Flexible approach to working day and back shifts.
