Central Employment are currently recruiting for an experienced FLT Driver to join a busy warehouse and distribution operation based in Peterlee.
This is an excellent opportunity for a dependable and safety-conscious individual looking to secure long-term employment with the opportunity to gain a permanent contract after a successful 12-week period.
About the Role
As a Counterbalance Forklift Driver, you will play an important part in the smooth running of warehouse operations, ensuring goods are moved safely, stock is accurately managed, and orders are prepared efficiently.
Key Duties
- Operating a Counterbalance Forklift Truck safely and effectively
- Loading and unloading vehicles
- Moving stock and materials throughout the warehouse and yard
- Assisting with stock rotation and inventory checks
- Picking and preparing orders for dispatch
- Carrying out general warehouse and yard duties
- Maintaining high standards of health and safety
- Working closely with colleagues and supervisors to achieve daily operational targets
What We're Looking For
- Valid Counterbalance Forklift Truck Licence
- Previous experience operating a forklift within a warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing environment
- Strong commitment to safe working practices
- Reliable and punctual with a positive work ethic
- Good attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Hours & Pay
- £12.71 per hour
- Monday to Friday
- 10:00am - 7:00pm
- Day Shift Only
- Two 30-minute unpaid breaks
- No weekend working
