Continentals – 2 Days 2 Nights

£40,000 – £44,000

 

Central are once again supporting a growing manufacturer in Newcastle in their search for a Maintenance Engineer. As a Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for day-to-day repair and improvement work across site as well as being involved in a range of projects.

 

You will be responsible for a range of maintenance activities including:

 

  • Planned and Preventive Maintenance work
  • Project work across site
  • Mechanical and Electrical Fault Finding on-site equipment
  • Working as part of a well-supported shift team
  • Adhering to Safety practices and a safe and effective working environment

 

The ideal candidate will have experience with:

 

  • Mechanical and Electrical Maintenance within a manufacturing environment
  • Automated systems such as conveyors
  • PLC systems and 3 Phase interfaces
  • Pumps, Pneumatic and Hydraulic systems
  • HVAC and Site Services equipment

 

This role has come about due to continued growth across the site and a need for an additional maintenance team member. This is a varied role where experience in a fast-moving manufacturing environment is essential. This may include Automotive, Pharmaceuticals or Food/FMCG environments in the past.

 

With your base salary, shift allowance and additional overtime rates, the average earnings well exceed £44k+ and additional training and development is always on offer.
