Fork Lift Operator – Longbenton

Central Employment are currently recruiting for a Fork Lift Operator in Longbenton with a Reach forklift licence. The role is for our client based in the Balliol Industrial estate.

Key Accountabilities include:

Loading and Unloading of Wagons
Handling of wastes ensuring that health & safety standards are observed and maintained at all times
Assisting with the segregation of waste streams to promote recylcing.
Ensuring that production needs are not adversely affected by build-up of waste
Carrying out periodic yard clearance in the factory loading areas
Operation of Counterbalance Fork Lift truck to empty waste skips.
You will be required to work in a busy warehouse within a food factory
Some of these areas are working within a chilled and controlled environment so suitable clothing is a must.
As you will be dealing with fresh food and food preparation strict hygiene procedures must be adhered to at all times.

Knowledge, skills and experience include:

In-date Counterbalance Fork lift truck Licence (with last 3 years)

In Date Reach truck Fork lift Licence Licence
Must be flexible in your approach to work
Be able start at 6.30am
Able to work 12 hour days or Nights when required

Pay rate – £8.83 per hour

Hours of work – 45 Hours per week with over time available paid at premium above 48 hours. 12 hour shifts working 4 on and 4 off including nights
12 hour shifts start at either 6.30am or 6.30pm.
