Central Employment are delighted to be exclusively supporting one of the largest hospitality venues in the North East in their search for a Senior Business Development Executive. Due to a period of planned growth, the client is looking to expand their already successful Business Development team after making some internal changes to their sales strategy. This is a great opportunity for a candidate with experience in corporate sales looking to move into a senior position with a globally recognised brand.

Purpose of the Senior Business Development Executive

The Senior Business Development Executive will work alongside the Business Development Manager to identify new business opportunities and build relationships through outbound sales activity and networking. The Senior BDE will adhere to all brand sales and marketing strategy and ensure all revenue targets are met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work with Business Development Manager and Hospitality Manager to design and implement a strategic sales plan for hospitality sales
  • Ensure targets are achieved and exceeded
  • Work with marketing team to develop the online strategy
  • Work collaboratively with other Business Development team members to support initiatives that arise from the strategic sales plan;
  • Create accurate sales forecasting and reports
  • Maintain full knowledge of all commercial opportunities to identify and develop business opportunities
  • Identify and develop relationships to grow business with prospective and existing customers;
  • Identify and explore new emerging markets and target clients
  • Maximise business development opportunities by forming important business connections through strong
  • Work with clients to produce customised business proposals solutions based on prospective clients’ specific needs
  • Produce a weekly activity report of sales, appointments and networking events
  • Attend relevant trade shows / exhibitions to promote the brand and gain valuable business insight

Experience and Knowledge

  • Experience in B2B sales
  • Experience in corporate sales
  • Proven track record of consistently achieving targets
  • Experience in negotiating and closing sales
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Strong communication and networking skills
  • Strong local business knowledge desirable
  • Interest in hospitality desirable

Skills and Abilities

  • Able to network effectively, identify opportunities, close deals, and effectively manage the after-sales process, build strong internal and external relationships
  • Have a confident, friendly outgoing personality and be a good team player
  • Able to generate new ideas and think creatively
  • Ability to deliver results in a pressurised environment
  • Full Clean UK Driving License
