Head of Project Managment (Digital)
Central Employment are currently recruiting for a Head of Project Management (Digital) on behalf of a multi-awarding, digital/eCommerce agency.
The business seeks a commercially-astute leader who can improve efficiency and be accountable for overall client onboarding for projects across all digital marketing services and our proprietary ecommerce platform.

Duties & responsibilities:
A key area of the role will be to inspire, mentor and lead the project management team, ensuring that all our PMs are delivering projects on time and on budget whilst leading the way in shaping and improving our project management methodology. Strong strategy development skills and effective planning are imperative to this role.
Set targets and monitor performance of direct reports. The Head of Project Management will also be required to plan resource and recruit talented people to expand the team when required.
The Head of Project Management will be a senior point of contact responsible for ensuring an impressive and smooth start for all initial client projects. The successful candidate will be an outstanding collaborator used to working with many other departments to ensure mutual goals are achieved.
You’ll be a seasoned and successful scrum-master with experience of driving agile processes and teams. The Head of Project Management will be key to ensuring information is processed correctly within teams, briefs are met and teams are flexible in their approach.
Take overall responsibility for commercial growth of their department, monitor and improve efficiency and budgets across departments, and have a vested interested in client growth and retention, to ensure targets are met.
Work with the Head of Brand Marketing and the team to contribute to brilliant, disruptive thought leadership campaigns to consistently improve company reputation, and produce content when required for the company’s website and offline collateral.
As head of department, you’ll lead and direct some of our most complex digital projects, so it is crucial that you have the technical knowledge and effective planning capabilities to deliver these projects successfully, while leading by example.
Some other prerequisites of the Head of Project Management position include:
A genuine digital expert across all channels with strong technical capabilities
Client-facing experience at a senior level, with the ability to direct the way, problem-solve and diffuse tensions when needed
Passion for digital and an ambition to drive an industry-leading digital offering
An analytical and strategic thinker with the ability to plan effectively and stick to it, but also able to react well to pressure and unforeseen challenges
Outstanding communication skills across all levels, externally and internally.
Commercially astute with knowledge of improving efficiency without implicating client experience
A strong collaborator who can work with internal teams to achieve mutual goals
Experience of utilising project collaboration software
5 years+ experience in a digital leadership role
Agency experience with exposure to eCommerce
Overall knowledge of all digital services with the ability to ask the right questions, challenge when required and make valuable suggestions that ensure innovation and client happiness.

Budget management and experience of monitoring and improving efficiencies
