Head of Digital
Central Employment are looking to recruit a Head of Digital for a multi-awarding digital, web and eCommerce agency based in the North East. This is a new role within a thriving digital agency.
Part of the Senior Leadership team and reporting to the Executive Board, the Head of Digital will have significant experience of driving performance across multiple channels, and in managing talented people to continuously innovate and achieve success.
The business seeks a commercially-astute leader who can improve efficiency and be accountable for overall client experience across all digital marketing services.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The new Head of Digital will manage a group of 6 talented service leaders to deliver market-leading digital services with outstanding client experience across SEO, PPC, Social Media, Email Marketing, Conversion Rate Optimisation and Affiliate Marketing. The successful candidate will also be required to create a service development strategy to ensure our offering is innovative and proactive. Take overall responsibility for commercial growth of their departments, monitor and improve efficiency and budgets across departments, and have a vested interested in client growth and retention, to ensure profitability of all digital services. Lead and inspire personnel within all Digital services to facilitate progression and success. Set targets and monitor performance of direct reports. Where required, the Head of Digital may also need to be involved in the recruitment for certain roles, however the majority of this will be done by the individual service leads.
Work with our Head of Brand Marketing and the team to contribute to brilliant, disruptive thought leadership campaigns to consistently improve company reputation, and produce content when required for the company’s website and offline collateral. The Head of Digital will be a senior point of contact should a client escalate any concerns, so the candidate will be required to work with the Head of Customer Success to set KPIs for service leaders and their teams, and develop procedures that ensure client happiness is foremost and escalations are rare to nonexistent. Effective key stakeholder relationships are crucial to the Head of Digital’s success in this area.

Google Analytics qualification
5 years+ experience in a digital leadership role
Tier 1 digital performance / Web Agency experience with exposure to eCommerce solutions
Overall knowledge of all digital services with the ability to ask the right questions, challenge when required and make valuable suggestions that ensure innovation and client happiness.
Experience of people management
Budget management and experience of monitoring and improving efficiencies
