Central Employment are working in partnership with an established and expanding managed services provider based Teesside, as they look for a commercially focused Business Development Manager to drive further grow, selling there full suite of managed services, connectivity and cloud solutions.  

Circa £30k, OTE £50k+ + benefits
Teesside based, split between office and field (North East)

Business Development Manager profile: 

The primary role of a Business Development Manager is to sell the groups Managed Services to new clients based in the North East of England. It is essential to have a good knowledge and understanding of how to sell technologies and services, ideally from the Tech/IT or Software sectors. Working closely with prospects and consulting them through the process ensuring they get the best value services and products they require.

Business Development Manager main responsibilities: 

  • Respond to inbound sales and new business enquiries
  • Cold outreach (social, phone and some canvassing) gaining new customers
  • Attend sales meetings and maximise sales to customers
  • Account Management of your own customer database – sales, after sales
  • Increase revenue from your own customer base by up-sell and cross-sell (additional IT services, solutions, or connectivity solutions)
  • Handle enquiries regarding up-grades, cross-selling and customer deals.

Essential experience: 

  • You must have B2B Sales experience of at least 3 years
  • An interest in IT and Technology
  • A proven and demonstrable track record of bringing in new customers
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and orally
  • Strong interpersonal skills, with an emphasis on customer satisfaction and relationship management
