Central Employment are looking to recruit an experienced Account Director on behalf of a leading full service, marketing agency who specialise in digital, creative, brand and advertising.

Due to growth and further development, they require an additional Account Director with experience in working within a fast paced, integrated agency,  possessing superb people management skills.

Main purpose of the Account Director:

  • To be the daily lead and contact point for key clients
  • To nurture and grow designated accounts and be a good leader/role model for account teams
  • To seek out and land creative opportunities
  • To deliver on forecast and drive profitability throughout all accounts, always looking for organic growth
  • To be a trusted client partner, fully understanding your clients’ businesses

Responsibilities of the Account Director:

  • Ability to have a long term view of your client and influence their direction
  • Exemplary client service skills with the ability to maintain and extend client loyalty via strong relationships and a proactive and innovative approach
  • Demonstrate the importance of your clients brand by having a thorough understanding of their products, market and customers
  • To build and maintain mutually beneficial clients relationships to gain the respect of senior client contacts
  • Build strong relationships internally across all departments, being sure to be seen working collaboratively with your account team
  • Lead pitches and new business opportunities
  • Ensure the total potential scope of work is identified and developed
  • To drive client service excellence by adopting the culture of ‘delighting clients’
  • Think integrated, apply a channel-neutral approach; must be conversant with all channels, including digital and offline
  • In the absence of a client brief be able to establish clear objectives to formulate a response adding value
  • Ability to manage exemplary ‘Creative Creation’ projects
  • Interrogate client briefs, understand insight, help develop the proposition with planning and drive the conceptual creative process
  • Develop and craft creative briefs to motivate and excite creative colleagues
  • Second to none liaising with the Creative skills; including the ability to work as a team with the Creative Director and other senior stakeholders
  • Critique creative; must be able to articulate and rationalise thinking around creative executions in a constructive manner, with exemplary delivery
  • Support the senior agency team to drive up and maintain the standard of the agency creative output
  • Be creatively curious and passionate about all you do
  • Plan and progress effective campaigns from concept or creative origination through to completion

Essential skill set required:

  • Ability to grow your accounts by identifying and landing opportunities in both existing and new areas of the clients business
  • Ability to forecast accurately and set budgets, expectations and deliver results
  • To be a positive role model through exemplary client service skills and first class leadership and management
  • Be a champion of financial rigour and accurate reporting
  • Evaluate creative output against brief and provide credible feedback to ensure campaign objectives are met and exceeded
  • The ability to work collaboratively with Planning to influence and implement a Strategic and analytic approach to communications with ROI at its heart
  • Strong time management
  • Self-sufficient and highly organised
  • The ability to multi task while working to deadline yet still retaining a professional approach
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, displayed by ‘the right level’ of self confidence
  • Ability to work flexibly to deliver client needs
