Workshop Operative –- Thornaby on Tees
On behalf of our client, manufacturing company within the aviation sector based in Thornaby, who after continued growth and some exciting upcoming projects, are looking for Workshop Operatives to join them on a temporary to permanent basis.

The Role
As a workshop operative, this role will include:
- using hand tools (Grinders, Drills, spanners and Wrenches)
- some welding works (does not require you to be a coded welder)
- Manual and Heavy lifting work.
- operating power press machines
- working with power press capacity of 5-350 tonnes
- Working with power tools.
- working with Pipework, valve and covers for aviation.
The Hours
Monday to Thursday 07.30am – 4.30pm
Friday 7.30am -1.30pm
The Rate of Pay
Basic: £11.50 Per hour Overtime may be available but isn’t guaranteed
The Ideal person
We are looking for:
- A good work ethic
- Capable of manual handling
- Good time keeping and attendance
- Experienced with hand tools and bit of welding.
- Will have leather or vinyl safety boots and own overalls.
- Good Attitude
