Central Employment are delighted to be working in partnership with a leading eCommerce, Digital Print client as they require a Head of HR  to who’s specifically operated within a generalist capacity.  We are seeking someone who’s a strong talent manager, with the ability to write policies, implement procedures, best practices and employment engagement across a 150+ workforce. The organisation operates across two offices, based in the North East and London, so you must be flexible to travel to both sites. 


  • Manage a growing HR function and coordinate a range of initiatives through the broader HR function
  • Attract and retain talent in a competitive market for specialist skills
  • Advise business leads on the people implications of business initiatives, projects, policies and procedures
  • Develop and deliver high value people initiatives which align with the achievement of the business goals
  • Coach line managers to develop their people management capability
  • Partner with senior line management to lead and facilitate change initiatives as required
  • Produce and analyse management information for the business, proposing and implementing KPIs and business metrics
  • Manage, new starter and leaver process as well as overseeing new employee induction
  • Oversee recruitment process, actively promote via social channels and manage agreements with external agencies
  • Lead the apprenticeship programme on behalf of the wider business
  • Ensure that HR activities and performance management remains consistent across the dual locations


  • CIPD qualified or equivalent relevant experience within a similar role
  • Experience of managing and developing a growing HR and recruitment team
  • Demonstrable experience of managing complex Employee Relations case matters up to appeal and employment tribunal including TUPE and redundancy
  • Experience with employment law and changing legislation
  • Proven ability to consult with external third parties such as clients and auditors
  • Experience of managing and analysing budget data information
  • Experience of recruitment tools such as LinkedIn Corporate and sourcing of candidate’s desirable
