Central Employment is currently recruiting a Warehouse Operator to work in a busy food production warehouse on behalf of our client based in Team Valley, Gateshead.
Primary Roles
- To manage inward/outward stock movement whilst maintaining accuracy and integrity of the store’s inventory records
- To develop and maintain a professional relationship with third party, carriers, courier companies
- Ensure all stock records are kept up to date maintaining accuracy
- Show professionalism to any offsite personnel or management
Duties & Responsibilities
- Off load supply vehicles, ensuring they meet factory requirements
- Visual checks on conformance of materials to factory requirements and purchase orders
- Labelling of incoming materials / Sampling incoming materials in line with raw material intake procedure
- To pick customer orders and assemble for departure once completed
- Health and Safety standards to be followed and upheld including forklift use
- Continuous stock counts (Daily/Weekly/Monthly)
- Ensure warehouse is kept clean at all times / Ensure correct PPE is used
Candidate Requirements
- Valid Counterbalance or Reach Truck Licence essential
- Manual Handling Experience
- Previous experience in a similar role
Rate of Pay
£11.11 per hour
Hours
40 hours per week or 36 hours – 3×12 hours per week (To be confirmed)
This role is ongoing with the opportunity for the right candidate to become a permanent employee after 12 weeks
