Central Employment is currently recruiting for a leader in the packing department to coach and guide the next generation of packers.
This is for our food manufacturing client based in Team Valley, Gateshead. Previous experience would be required but any manufacturing experience is desirable.
The role would be on a permanent night basis, with the shift pattern being 3 on, 1 off, 3 on, 7 off.
Responsibilities
- Fully competent to stand in for a Shift Lead
- Effective liaise with Product Lead to ensure product quality and schedule adherence
- Fully competent in line set up, QAS are followed, and understand/ensure products meet all specifications
- Ensure all stock rotation, line clearance and traceability procedures are always adhered to
- Ensure 100% accuracy in packaging, coding, labelling
- Ensure all health & safety requirements are fully adhered to
- Deliver full compliance and consistency against set KPI’s
Requirements
- Deliver plan on target to expected cost/weight
- Compliance with all standards/specifications/control procedures
- Compliance with all external regulatory requirements
- Lead the packing team to ensure plant running smoothly
- Eliminate all unnecessary waste of product
- Deliver right first-time packing
- Food Handling experience
- Experience of working in a manufacturing environment
- Good numeracy skills
- Excellent standard of verbal and written English communication
Rate of Pay
Annually Salary: £22,000 – £26,000
Shift Times & Days:
Permanent Nights: 6pm – 6am
Location: NE11
This role is ongoing with the opportunity to go permanent after 12 weeks
