Central Employment are currently looking to recruit a number a Forklift Operators for a busy warehouse in Longbenton.

Forklift Operatives are required to work in a number of areas within the warehouse, from order picking, operating a reach truck and a counterbalance truck loading and unloading goods. There are numerous positions available.

Candidate Requirements

Although no formal qualifications are necessary (full training will be provided), we are looking for individuals who can work well with a wide range of people in a positive and flexible manner.
To be successful in this role, you will also need the following experiences:

• Literate with good numeric skills. Ideally educated to Standard Grade or equivalent with passes in English and Arithmetic
• A knowledge and understanding of the health and safety
• Positive working attitude.

Experience of working in a team-orientated environment would be advantageous, although support and development will be provided.

Both Counterbalance and Reach licenses are desirable, however if you only have Counterbalance, this is also acceptable.

Rate of pay:

Reach: £10.29

Counterbalance: £9.79

These positions are temporary ongoing positions with a possibility of going permanent for the right candidates.

Candidate will be working 12 hour shifts working 4 days on 4 days off consisting of 4 days 4 off and then 4 nights, working between the hours of 6.30am to 18.30pm and 18.30pm to 6.30am.
