Central Employment are delighted to be working with an established and globally recognised creative consultancy, as they look to appoint a Design Studio Manager.  They are looking for an enthusiastic and hard-working Design Studio Manager to work with their growing list of high-profile, consumer led clients who operate on a global scale.

Overview of key responsibilities: 

  • Briefing and distributing workload to in-house designers and freelancers
  • Ensuring deadlines are met
  • Ensuring projects come in on budget
  • Checking weekly time sheets
  • Client management, including taking briefs, and keeping clients up to date with the progress of projects
  • Manage daily, weekly workloads across the studio
  • Working on multiple design projects, packaging point of sale, brand development, illustration and style guide
  • Making sure design and artwork is completed accurately and error-free
  • Setting up final print artwork
  • Drive the implementation of systems and processes within the studio to further improve efficiency, profitability, job flow and output
  • Resource planning to maximise studio capacity – including assigning relevant designers to projects to ensure timely completion of work in line with client deadlines
  • Develop new ideas and strategies for improving agency efficiency and client servicing
  • Report on performance vs. key metrics to the Directors and develop improvement actions
  • Take responsibility of the exsiting design team

Experience required for the Design Studio Manager:

  • An excellent proven designer who is totally proficient in Illustrator, InDesign and Photoshop
  • Experience working in an agency as studio lead, senior designer or creative manager
  • The ability to manage, delegate projects and coordinate workflow
  • Can manage budgets and design plans
  • Excellent organisation

  • Ability to work in a small team and collaborate with external creatives
