Job Summary
Central Employment is seeking a skilled Fitter to join a leading company in the reverse engineering sector. Reporting directly to the Engineering Manager, you will play a crucial role in the disassembly, inspection, repair, and re-assembly of various rotating pieces of equipment, primarily pumps. You will work as part of a small team that handles a wide variety of equipment from a global customer base. Strong teamwork and product knowledge are essential to achieve the best results in a growing business. Ideally from a service background, the successful candidate will be a time-served engineer with a proven track record in the rotating equipment industry.

Key Responsibilities

  • Timely disassembly, inspection, and repair of equipment to pre-determined deadlines.
  • Produce work to the highest standard to achieve customer satisfaction.
  • Assist in generating reports to company standards to meet customer expectations.
  • Work within industry standards as per company procedures.
  • Support internal teams to get to the root cause of specific issues.
  • Participate in specialist or multi-disciplinary team activities.

Person Specification

  • Time-served fitter/engineer.
  • Experienced in servicing, fitting, and assembly of pumps and rotating equipment.
  • Flexible approach to tasks and availability for overtime when required.

  • Salary: £31,361, with overtime rates applicable
  • Hours: 37 Hours per week, Monday to Thursday (07:30 – 16:00), Friday (07:30 – 12:30)
