Central Employment is looking to recruit a Senior Tax Manager / Tax Manager due to demand of the clients Tax, Payroll & Auditing services, the role can be based across any of their Co Durham, Teesside and North Yorkshire offices.
Responsibilities:
The role will focus on working with an established portfolio of owner managed businesses and high net worth individuals with significant opportunity for career progression for the right candidate. The role will include assisting the tax leadership team in providing tax consultancy advice. The successful candidate will also be able to take advantage of our hybrid working policy which allows you to work from home for up to two days a week.
The job title and duties will be dependent on the successful candidate’s experience.
The key duties of the role are:
- Working on advisory projects including but not limited to R&D claims, patent box relief, capital allowances, EIS, share schemes, corporate reorganisations, HMRC enquiries, due diligence, M&A etc. There are opportunities to become involved in inheritance tax and trust planning, if desirable.
- Reviewing corporation tax matters for larger corporates and groups.
- Working with higher net worth individuals regarding a variety of tax planning matters.
- Actively participating in business development and marketing strategies
- Aid in winning new working.
- Identifying opportunities to cross sell services to existing clients.
The ideal candidate will:
- Be ACA/ACCA/ICAS and/or CTA qualified
- Have upwards of five years post qualification experience in OMB taxation matters. However, consideration will be given to those with less post qualification experience if they are able to demonstrate a high level of tax experience.
- Have experience in a broad range of corporate and personal tax matters.
- Be driven to deliver excellent client service.
- Have a track record in delivering to tight client deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Good organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
- Have proven people management skills.
You will be supported by a significant amount of experienced tax professionals as well as the partners and directors of the business.
