Central Employment is currently recruiting for one of our Accountancy Practices in Darlington/Middlesbrough to recruit an Audits and Accounts Manager. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated individual who is looking to step up as a manager or start a new role with a thriving company.

Overview of Role: 

This role offers an invigorating opportunity to join our client’s dynamic Audit & Accounts Team. Within this role, you will directly report to the Audit and Accounts Director. You’ll also have the flexibility to work from either the client’s Darlington or Middlesbrough office, providing you with a convenient and adaptable work arrangement.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Thoroughly review accounts and audit assignments spanning diverse industry sectors and a wide range of clients.
  • Foster seamless collaboration with managers, senior managers, and partners to meticulously strategize and plan accounts and audit assignments.
  • Take charge of team development and performance management, ensuring comprehensive training for junior members to foster their growth.
  • Provide valuable and routine advice on tax, accounting, and overall commercial matters to your designated clients.
  • Skillfully handle the intricacies of monthly billing tasks with precision and efficiency.
  • Actively engage in key management meetings and conferences, contributing your insights and expertise to drive informed decisions.
  • Initiate and propose innovative suggestions and ideas aimed at optimizing the finance processes within the department as an integral part of your managerial responsibilities.

Skills & Experience:

  • Aca or ACCA Qualified.
  • Experience of Owner-Managed small to medium business accounts preparation including financial statements.
  • Organisational skills.
  • Excellent IT skills including working knowledge of Excel.
  • Experience of managing audits.
  • experience of supervising and managing a team.
