Central Employment is currently looking for reliable Joiners in the Newcastle, Northumberland, Durham and Wearside areas. Due to increased workload and new projects, we are able to offer long term work.

You will be expected to carry out joinery duties to a high standard, ensuring that all work carried out meets statutory requirements and customer expectations. You must demonstrate a willingness to work hard and be committed to good Health & Safety on site.

Duties and Responsibilities 

  • Carry out all works on site, as instructed by the Site Manager
  • All aspects of joinery, 1st and 2nd fix
  • Organise and order materials, including timber, fixings and equipment
  • Adhering to site’s Health & Safety measures

Requirements 

  • CSCS card (essential)
  • Asbestos awareness
  • Your own PPE and tools
  • Own transport (desirable)
  • Knowledge of building and construction
  • Ability to meet the physical demands of the job (standing for long periods of time & lifting heavy loads)
  • Work under your own initiative and also be able to work with others as part of a team
  • Good hand-eye coordination
  • Up-to-date DBS (desirable)

Schedule 

  • 8/10 hour shifts (days), Monday to Friday
  • Occasional weekend work (paid overtime)

Salary

  • £19.00 – £20.00 p/h
  • Overtime
